Tentatively Looking At June 18th for HP Night

Phil writes "If you were in my email address book you've received notice that the date for the movie night mentioned below has tentatively been set for June 18th. As we get nearer the day, I'll keep track of the weather and see if the rain / wind situation will be acceptable. That screen's a big kite if it's windy. Even a gentle wind is pretty well insurmountable with a 20' sail. And it goes without saying nobody wants to watch a movie outdoors with rain. Don't forget there's a Hour D'oeuvre contest as well. Bring a finger-food item of your liking for everyone to try out. I'd like to do pizza's but if I can't find a crust to my liking, we may have dogs again. Chili Dogs that is. Given my experience with making dog rolls, we'll probably be eating off Martins Potato rolls. If anyone has a good recipe for pizza crust, please email it to me, I'd be interested in trying it before movie night. "

June or July Movie Night / Food Contest

Phil writes "I'd like to give some notice of a movie night sometime either late in June or very early in July. With the upcoming box office release of Harry Potter 8 On July 15th, I thought it would be nice to show a couple of the earlier films outdoors. I have not decided on which, nor of a time. With the current water situation there, we'd need a raft. This would of course be weather permitting if done outdoors. Also, at the same time, I'd like to do a Appetizer contest. There would be no dinner served, just a bunch of appetizers, and most likely judging. It would be "Unofficial" as I did not won the last contest. I think though, judging would be considerably easier than eating 12 pieces of cake! I'll place a thread in the forum with details later. If there are to be any "Rules", they will be specified there. I have a few "ideas", but they really don't qualify as rules. More like things that make sense for pulling it off. Hope to see ya there!PS, It'll either be a Saturday, or will coincide somewhere with the 4th of July holiday. "

The current arrangement seems the best deal we're going to get and it's in the works. There's still time to say no if you wish so please speak now or forever hold your peace.
